Meet our DTG Taco family! Founded by Karina Wollangk, Down to Get Tacos brings the rich flavors of authentic Mexican cuisine to her beloved town of Gilbert, Arizona. After a sudden loss of income, a long time dream of opening a restaurant began to take shape at the height of the pandemic. Driven by her deep love for bringing people together and passion for creating nostalgic, soul-stirring flavors, Karina, embarked on a culinary journey through the towns of Mexico in search of the perfect taco recipe.

Combining true family recipes with the wisdom of incredible locals, Karina created the DTG Tacos menu and the business was born in the shape of a modest pop-up taco stand. From humble beginnings with just a Walmart tent and a camping stove, Karina has worked tirelessly with the help of many loved ones and her community to grow DTG Tacos into a local staple.

With a full family affair beside her, Karina and her DTG Tacos team aim to unite people one taco at a time. Our company is proof that the first step is the hardest, but dreams can become a reality using hard work and passion. With each bite you take, our goal is to transport you to a place that brings you memories surrounded by those you love the most, and who’s not down for that?
